Talk:Why skeptics lose
From WikiSynergy
Nice table summarizing various correlates to belief in paranormal. It was compiled by looking at multiple peer-reviewed articles. Can anyone look at that and still claim that it is clear that the higher the education level the more likely someone is to believe in paranormal phenomenon? Etaroced 16:07, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- I need more context! I will study it further. The polls from Gallup do not really show that, apparently, but they show that the longer you go to college the more you believe in the paranormal. But not "the higher your education level," if there is a lot more belief among those who do not enter college. PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 20:10, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- The paper is cited in the image, it will require university access to read the whole thing. Personally I trust peer-reviewed literature substantially more than random gallop polls. Etaroced 20:39, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but I am having trouble understanding the thing. I will take your word for it at least for now. But I do notice it is prior to the newer data (2003). PuRple scissorʇɐןʞ 23:07, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
